Internal Sales Support Specialist

Department: National Sales Location: New York, NY – 4 days a week minimum “in office” (not WFH)

Position Description:

The Internal Portfolio Specialist provides ongoing sales support to RBA external Portfolio Specialists by helping to market RBA’s suite of investment products to financial intermediaries. The position requires on-going dialogue and communication with RBA team members and at times with financial professionals to help provide material and to help external sales specialists develop relationships and generate sales via sales and marketing campaigns, e-mails etc. The internal must also stay current regarding product updates and changes. They will be responsible for handling all incoming sales volume from clients and prospects and for feeding leads to their external partners to create optimal efficiency. Data analysis and prospecting will be vital to their success.

  • Responsible for any follow up needed by external Portfolio Specialists to financial advisors and prospects including sales and marketing material, follow up appointments, thank you e-mails, PowerPoint decks, fact sheets etc. 

  • Work closely with specialists as a “partner” on activity and sales goals. 

  • Maintain contact with financial advisors as needed and keep them up to date on products. 

  • Work with RBA marketing on e-mail campaigns and Pardot follow up. 

  • Keep External Portfolio Specialists abreast of financial advisor relationship status. 

  • Handle incoming phone calls and requests for information (sales and marketing materials) in a professional and timely manner. Get involved with representatives and External Wholesalers on problem resolution. 

  • Maintain open communication with the External Wholesaler, which may include a daily review of the sales numbers and an end of day status check including information on calls for literature and any other topics that impact the territory. 

  • Attend weekly meetings to review activity and outline initiatives for the coming week. 

  • Follow up on External Wholesaler schedule and meetings. 

  • Support territory marketing campaigns as needed 

  • Monitor/analyze sales and Pardot data to feed specific leads to each Portfolio Specialist 

  • Prepare reports via Salesforce and Morningstar 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required. 

  • Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses a plus, not essential. 

  • Excel, Salesforce experience a plus. 

  • A self-starter, eager to learn, who is driven and hardworking. 

  • Embraces the entrepreneurial culture of RBA and is comfortable working at a boutique investment firm. 

  • A team player focused on overall group performance rather than the individual. 

  • Solid written and oral communication skills. 

Salary Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $90,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
